Methane

Below are the line lists from our double-resonance measurements of methane in the P0 → P4 (2ν₃) and P2 → P6  (ν₃ → 3ν₃) range, where PN is the polyad number N. The assignments are based on the predictions from the ab initio effective Hamiltonian of Michael Rey, J. Chem. Phys. 156, 224103 (2022). Each file contains the description of all columns and list of references.

When using our line lists, please cite the original publication in which they were published, listed in the last column.

  • P0 → P4

    This line list contains ground state transitions with wavenumbers between 5500 cm-1 and 6100 cm-1.

  • P2 → P6

    This line list contains hot-band transitions with wavenumbers between 5500 cm-1 and 6100 cm-1 starting from lower states in the  3000 – 3400 cm-1 range.
